Helsingin yliopiston kendoseura – University of Helsinki Kendo Club
Created in 1999, Univesity of Helsinki Kendo club is the steadiest student kendo club in Finland.
Helsingin Yliopiston Kendoseura, commonly called HY Kendo is a student sports association. We practice Kendo, (a Budō or Japanese martial art using bamboo swords and protective armors) two to three times a week in the morning, our dojo is in the city center of Helsinki. We use the facilities of Unisport and University of Helsinki. We are a very international, social and inclusive small community, we welcome any university students willing to break a sweat.
We offer two basic course a year to introduce student to kendo.
